How Solar Works with AZ Utility Companies
Are you ready to make the change to solar power for a greener, more sustainable future? Solar panels are a clean, renewable power source that is good for the environment and helps customers save on energy bills. Solar panels offer residential and business clients a more affordable energy option than traditional utility providers. With the addition of federal, state, and local incentives and programs, solar remains a substantial investment for your future and the planet.
With extensive knowledge of solar technology, Fusion Power is one of the nation’s fastest-growing solar companies. By helping our solar customers interconnect with local Arizona energy companies, Arizona Public Service (APS) and Salt River Project (SRP), Fusion Power continues pushing for Arizona’s cleaner, more energy-efficient future.
Arizona Public Service
Serving more than 1.3 million homes and businesses in Arizona, APS is committed to doing its part to keep Arizona and its future beautiful. With the help of clean energy technologies like solar panels, Arizona Public Service has set the goal to provide customers with 100% clean, carbon-free electricity by 2050.
Saving With Solar
Along with picking a plan that works for your energy usage, APS offers Renewable Energy Riders to help customers save money on energy and even earn credit toward future utility bills.
- RCP – Gives monthly bill credit based on the current RCP purchase rate. The credit applies toward your monthly billed amount; any remaining credits will roll over to the next month’s bill. If at the end of the year you have bill credits amounting to more than $25, a refund check will be issued.
- EPR-2- Measures excess power produced and not used and gives a monthly bill credit; remaining credits roll over to the next month’s bill.
Interconnection
APS supports Fusion Power customers during the installation of solar equipment that will connect with their grid, ensuring that everything goes smoothly throughout the permitting and installation process.
Salt River Project
Salt River Project has provided reliable and affordable power to central Arizona for more than a century. SRP will continue to apply a forward-thinking approach and utilize innovative technology to address energy supply challenges in the years ahead. With the help of solar technology, Salt River Project plans to reduce carbon emissions 62% by 2035.
Saving With Solar
Under the Customer Generation and Average Demand price plans, if the energy produced by your solar system is greater than the energy you used during the billing cycle, then the excess energy produced is credited to that month’s bill.
With the Time-of-Use Export and Electric Vehicle Export price plans, if the energy produced by your solar system is fed back to the grid at any time, SRP will credit you at a fixed export rate and subtract it from your bill.
Rebate
Salt River Project is offering a $250 rebate on purchasing and installing a demand management system for a limited time. SRP residential electric customers installing a new rooftop solar system with a preferred solar installer are eligible to participate.
Interconnection
The SRP Residential Distributed Energy Resource Program is designed to help interconnect reviewed and approved solar electric systems to SRP’s electric grid.
